New Tool single

I guess you could say I’ve been a big Tool fan for a long time now. I still listen to Opiate and Ænima is probably always going to randomly find itself in heavy rotation in my house. :P

But enough about the old, let’s talk about the new. Vicarious is Tool’s new single that will be on their upcoming 10,000 Days (not to be confused with Disturbed’s craptacular Ten Thousand Fists) and it’s all around good times. You can definitely notice MJK using what he’s picked up from APC and Puscifer when you listen to Vicarious, for me that means that soon as 10,000 Days comes out I’ll play it out like an old NWA album on the west coast.

Here’s some magazine-ish quote-age.

Rock act Tool has revealed the track list for its next studio album, “10,000 Days”. The set is due May 2 via Volcano. Billboard.com has learned that first single/album opener “Vicarious,” which stretches past the seven-minute mark, is due to arrive April 17 at U.S. rock radio outlets.

True to form, the 11-track “10,000 Days” sports a number of epic tunes, particularly “Rosetta Stoned” and “10,000 Days (Wings Pt. 2),” both of which clock in at 11:14. Near the end of the disc are the substantially lengthy “Intension” (7:21) and “Right in Two” (8:56).

“10,000 Days” is the follow-up to 2001’s “Lateralus,” which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 2.3 million copies in the United States

Sounds good to me. I’d link to a download, but I don’t like the thought of being sued. And I’m sure you already have the song if you’re a fan anyways. Can’t wait ’til May 2nd (hopefully). [tags]music, Tool, rock, metal[/tags]
