Mobb Deep - Blood Money (Review)

So there’s a bunch of albums I grabbed today, so expect a few reviews today and tomorrow.

The first of these reviews, as you can already tell from the cover, is Mobb Deep’s latest.

Simply because it’s Mobb Deep I want to like it, but at the same time because it’s on G-Unit I can’t expect much.

Anyways on to the review I guess. The album is fairly decent I guess, considering it’s peppered with 50 Cent, Young Buck and the Cookie Monster. As usual Havoc lays down most of the beats, and as usual they’re damn good production wise. Prodigy is his usual lazy sounding, laid back kinda guy self so you can’t say nuthin’ about the rhymes.

I don’t really want to say much about this one ’cause it isn’t Hell on Earth and 50 turned it into a G-Unit after party and that pisses me off to no end. Young Buck on more then one track? Not good, it’s bad enough they let him bring out his own CD. Least they didn’t let Ma$e or Spider Loc guest on it.

Final Thought

It’s not bad, but it’s not great. There’s only a few tracks where they’re actin’ like Mobb Deep and those save the album. If I had to rate it I’d give it a 3 maybe. [tags]hip hop, Mobb Deep, music, reviews[/tags]
