That’s right folks, come this time next week, it’ll be the New Orleans Saints vs. our own Chicago Bears (well mine and a few others maybe).

It was a close game throughout and it even looked like we might keep pace with our secret shame of not winning a playoff game since 1991. Thankfully though of course, our sure-footed kicker who had only missed 4 field goals all of the regular season (counting his blocked punt by that guy from the Patriots I think), managed to get the win. Hell the wind even caught the ball, kinda made you think for a brief second that even nature was against us. But we made it, so… WOO HOO!
I’m looking toward next week with a bit of trepidation though considering Deuce McAllister is coming off of a season high 143 yard game and of course Reggie Bush’s wily running style, those two combined could cause us some trouble since our defense hasn’t been as great against the run with Tommie “My shades are cooler then yours” Harris (( I promise to stop coming up with random silly names for players based off of their post-game interviews. That is of course if I remember this promise)). Of course there are two other worries I have every single time the Bears play:
- Why can’t we run Cedric Benson more then Thomas Jones, ’cause TJ’s running style is craptacular. Too much dancing to just be tackled immediately.
- And of course, our difficulties and seeming retardation in our secondary. And don’t say it’s because Mike Brown is out, ’cause he sucks just as much, if not more then Charles Tillman and whoever else has been here longer then the rookies and new comers.
In any case of course, we’re one more step away from bringing home the Lombardi and it doesn’t matter how we do it, as long as we do it, right? Right.
GO BEARS!

All things Apple usually get coverage everywhere. The reason for that is easy. Just look at their offerings at the personal computer side, especially look at their iPod line. They’re sleek and sexy designs and are hella useable.
One of the most sought after and rumored gadgets that’s been wanted to come out of the Cupertino camp is the iPhone. Now it’s no longer a gadget guys wet dream, it’s real and it’s still eye-gasmic as you can already see.
Might be time to move to Cingular.

Apple has posted a ton of Quicktime movies on their newly unveiled iPhone site. Check out the iPhone’s phone features, iPod features, internet communications device, and all the high tech stuff that makes it work

Another year down the drain.
Up’s and down’s. Good and bad.
Here’s to a better one this year.
Happy Holiday’s folks!
It’s been a wild ride in 2006, always seems to be that way for me on even numbered years. But like always we all managed to somehow survive lifes up’s and down’s. And now it’s (well was) Christmas soon to be a whole new year.
Hope everyone had a great holiday, and to those who didn’t, buck up — there’s always next year.
Get anything good this year?
I won’t normally do the sports blogging thing (even though I’m heavy into football and occasionally basketball), but holy crap I haven’t seen a QB suck that much since Andrew Walter’s poor performance. 1.3 rating? What the hell is that? My dead goldfish can do better then that.

Yeah, yeah, let’s have that argument of “But he has defenders rushing for him every play and your goldfish only has worms slowly eating at it’s rotting flesh!” Um well, whatever, he still sucked and there’s no excuse for it.
I’m not saying bench the guy, or that maybe the first few games were you know, a fluke. But you’ve got to admit, from the first maybe 5 games he was on fire, then it all went downhill. Maybe defenses just happened to pick up on what he does and what his offensive line does, during their extensive game footage they study — so they can get those sacks and forced interceptions (some not so forced).
Whatever the case may be, I seriously hope he gets it together next week. We need a QB to get and finish in the SB, can’t leave it up to Hester, Urlacher & co. all the time.
Ever since Heroes and Prison Break have come on I’ve been there watching them. Maybe they don’t always make sense, maybe they’re even a little silly at times — but they sure as hell are entertaining.
What do both of these shows have in common you ask? They’re both on hiatus until Jan. and April (might have that wrong, hoping I have that wrong) respectively.
Now I can deal with Heroes not being on ’til near the end of January, but holy crap, April? Do I really need to suffer 24 for months? Not that I even watch the show, but it’s still the bane of good and decent TV.

That’s right. I think Jack Bauer and his days suck. The show isn’t interesting, it’s not cool, and it’s certainly not good TV like all the stupid commercials portray it to be. How many times do people have to watch the show before they realize 24 hours isn’t long enough to thwart a terrorists nuclear attack, giant bear maulings, and plagues of epidemic proportions?
All I have to say is — Do not want.
Stop putting good shows on break ’til god knows when. Not even going to go on about other shows that take way too long breaks (*cough* Soprano’s *cough*).
So since I’ve been downloading apps for OS X (it’s teh win) since July, testing and playing with them, I’ve always had a few gripes seeing as how I only have 512 MB RAM; some programs just use way too much RAM and CPU power.
Now since OS X is BSD based it has all of those lovely little commands you can pop into Terminal to control every little aspect of the OS. But who wants to do that? Especially when you’ve got iPhoto running and it’s being the resource beast that it loves to be, do you really have time to run that coveted kill command? Of course not ’cause you have to edit that photo in Photoshop A.S.A.P. Can you do it without the tedious wait though? Nope, ’cause Photoshop isn’t a UB yet (hurry up Adobe).

That’s where this little application Freeze Frame comes in. Since you’re busy and don’t have time to go to Terminal and use kill, this app will do it for you and save you the hassle. It even has a feature where it’ll focus the foremost application in use (great for when you rip DVD’s (this is according to the developers site (I’m not registered so I don’t know from personal experience how well it works, but I’ll trust their word)).
Out of the few applications I’ve used for this very reason, this is the most minimalist I’ve found and does exactly what it’s supposed to.
So if you’ve got a Mac and do a lot of DVD ripping or other resource intensive stuff, check out this app, also if you go to osx.iusethis.com you can find other similar apps and judge for yourself. Check this app out. You know you need it.
So this time last year I made a post sayin’ happy turkey day and gobble gobble and crap.
This year I’ll add a picture of a turkey or something! See, here’s a picture of a turkey.

Hope you guys get fat and what not, ’cause that’s what it’s all about. And something about family, whatever.
Next up: Christmas. The epic fight between Jesus and Santa, the last few years Santa has been whoopin’ ass.

A video clip from Jay-Z’s live concert in June at Radio City Music Hall is popping up on all sorts of illicit music-sharing hotspots. But Jay-Z isn’t upset.
That’s because the rapper, at the request of Coca-Cola Co., agreed to allow distribution of the eight-minute clip — which included promotions for Coke — on the peer-to-peer sites, using technology usually used to thwart music pirates.
Look! We’re finally legitimized! Next thing you know the MPAA is going to think that people who download movies actually like movies! The world is ending, the sky is falling and Bush got a brain.
But they still want they’re damn money, and they’ll do anything to get it. Even if that means raiding your house and kicking your dog.

Bit of an iconic and somewhat cheesy graphic being used by the Austrian Pirate Party to illustrate that the 3 aren’t so different. Will it actually make an impact, maybe in Austria but I doubt many people are going to get it, even if they stare at it for days. Makes ya think though.
