Illegal Immigrant Rights 01May06 | 0

Up ’til now I haven’t touched this subject for good reason — it shouldn’t be an issue at all.

So for the record, here’s my stance on illegal immigrant rights: Just say no. [tags]illegal immigrant rights, protests, stupidity[/tags]

Have a nice day/night.

Watch Stephen Colbert rip the Bush administration to shreds. Gotta be awkward doing that with the Secret Service all around. Hope he doesn’t “disappear”. [tags]Stephen Colbert, politics, Bush administration, funny, comedy[/tags]

50 Most Loathesome People 24Jan06 | 0

50 Most Loathesome People Political editorials tend to be boring as all hell, but this might quite possibly be one that had the dry humor that a normal person can tolerate. Plus a lot of the people on the list, and their “descriptions” are spot on. I’m sure as hell glad Michelle Malkin made it at least, maybe now everyone will realize how much convoluted crap comes from the “right” and “left”, stay in the middle.

Satanist running for Governor

I despise and hate the Christian God the Father. He
is my enemy.

All I have to say is, if Arnold Schwarzeneger can become governor, then surely this douche can.

Crips co-founder executed 13Dec05 | 0

SAN QUENTIN, Calif., Dec. 13 — Stanley “Tookie” WilliamsTookie Williams, a gang leader-turned-peace advocate whose cause drew worldwide attention, was executed in San Quentin’s death chamber Tuesday morning after Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger denied his last-ditch plea for clemency and the Supreme Court refused to block the execution.

Stanley.Tookie.Williams.5.5.03 I’ve tried to stay as far away from this issue as possible, considering all of the conservative vs. liberal bullshit that swirls around it. It really wasn’t a suprise to wake up to the news that he was executed, considering Arnold Schwarzenegger’s recent political troubles, it wasn’t really expected for him to commute Tookie’s death sentence into a life sentence. Those of the conservative way, called for his head and it was in Arnold’s best interests to listen and comply.

Back to the issue at hand and less on the politics, unless you’ve been living under a rock, then you should know all about this story. People all over the blogosphere have been debating back and forth on whether he should or shouldn’t be killed because he found redemption in prison. The far right wanted his head (or vein, whatever you prefer), and the far left wanted his sentence commuted (there seems to be no middle ground whatsoever these days).

Throughout the night, growing numbers of Williams supporters, and a much smaller group of pro-death penalty advocates, had gathered in front of the prison to chant, wave signs, sing and light candles.

Celebrities, politicians, everybody who could showed up to show support on his final night, and of course the other side of the tracks showed up too. I’ve always found these high profile executions to be a tad bit ghoulish, but I think this one might take the cake.

They said he shook his head as if saying “for shame” and complained to those administering the injection when they took 12 minutes to find a vein in his left arm.

Here’s hoping this won’t bring about more bloodshed in the area’s where the Bloods and Crips are already on high tension. I’m sure I could say a whole lot more (I actually did, but due to a browser problem, all that was lost), but I’ll just leave you with this:

Among the evidence against Williams was a shotgun shell discovered at the crime scene that was linked to a gun he had bought five years earlier. That weapon was found under the bed of two associates accused of killing their business partner. The murder charges against them were dropped after they testified that Williams had confessed to them.

What in the hell kind of evidence is that? Looks like some guys just trying to save their own asses to me and using the first high profile person’s name they could think of. Oh well, not much more I really want to say. There’s already near 2800 news articles about this now, and I’m sure there will be countless other blog postings about this over the next few days. Personally I don’t want to read anymore about it.

Barack Obama nominated for a grammy 09Dec05 | 0

Looks like Mariah Carey isn’t the only one with some random luck with the Grammy’s this year (actually, to be totally honest, I don’t have anything bad to say about her CD).

Apparently our new senator Barack Obama is nominated for best spoken word CD. It’s one of those obscure categories nobody really pay’s attention to, I’m not even sure the people who win them for certain categories care that they even won them that year, let alone anyone else. But I guess it’s still neat for him that he might win…

No I’m not going to get into the whole political foray over this either, just found it interesting/amusing.

Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) was nominated Thursday for a Grammy Award, joining the ranks of Mariah Carey, Kanye West, Bruce Springsteen and a host of artists recognized for their musical genius.

But when the Grammys are handed out early next year, Obama will not be competing against musicians or songwriters. His nomination comes under a different category: Best Spoken Word Album.

The senator turned his autobiography, “Dreams From My Father,” into an audio book that was released earlier this year. His narration of his own life story earned him one of five spots in a somewhat obscure field known as Grammy Category 77.

The other nominees in the Spoken Word category include Garrison Keillor for “The Adventures of Guy Noir;” Al Franken for “The Al Franken Show Party Album;” Sean Pean for “Bob Dylan Chronicles - Volume One;” George Carlin for “When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops?”

EDIT: Just noticed that typo in the title, it was like 4 in the mornin’ and I couldn’t sleep, sheesh cut me some slack.

Ban On Explicit Video Games Blocked 05Dec05 | 0

U.S. District Court Judge Matthew Kennelly said the laws are unconstitutional — and so he has barred the state from enforcing them.

This really only relates to Illinois as far as I know, but at least a judge (someone who actually has a brain) knows that the governor is just a douche trying to place the blame on video games. Or at least that’s how I’m going to interpret it.

Robertson warns Pennsylvania voters of God’s wrath 11Nov05 | 0

CNN.com - Robertson warns Pennsylvania voters of God’s wrath - Nov 10, 2005

I swear this guy gets crazier and crazier every single time I read or hear something about him. What kind of freak says that because a district votes to not teach “Intellegent Design” in their schools, that natural disasters will occour because of it?

People can believe whatever the hell they want, but this whole “Intellegent Design” crap is getting out of hand. I mean number one, apparently the American populace has totally decided that sciences discoveries are just suggestions or something. I mean do the American people really believe in this whole “Intellegent Design” crap or is it just a choice few who tend to take these polls?

Oh well, obviously nowadays there seems to be far more nutjobs then in past times (or maybe I just didn’t notice it as much), and this guy Pat Robertson seems to be leading the pack. Maybe he’s just senile, a lot of older people tend to go crazy at his age right?

Electronic voting machine rejects Governator

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER "3 BOOBS"Elections officials said a Los Angeles County poll worker had entered Arnold SchwarzeneggerSchwarzenegger’s name into an electronic voting touch screen station in Pasadena on Oct. 25. The worker, who was not identified, was testing the voting machine in preparation for early voting that began the next day.

Gotta love when inventions backfire on the people(s) they’re supposed to be helping. I can’t wait to read the first article of when a robotic “servant” goes crazy and massacre’s it’s owners family. Blackend sky here we come!

Bush’s Conversation With U.S. Soldiers Was Rehearsed

Looks like we have our own version of ‘Dear Leader’. But whaaaatever, politics is all about the spin and image. Plus, why would the president want to give himself a headache by answering people’s real questions?
