In My Own Words 01Mar06 | 0

So I figure since there’s a major lack of actual original content here I might as well do something with what I know best — music. Here’s a nice review of Ne-Yo’s In My Own Words.

If you didn’t know, this dude co-wrote Mario’s hit “Let Me Love You”, so as much as the ladies loved that song, I’m sure they’ll feel his solo debut too. This is one of those rare R&B CD’s that is totally written from the male perspective, and actually manages to not suck.

Gavin Degraw - We Belong Together 12Jan06 | 0

We Belong Together

Artist: Gavin Degraw

Album: Tristan & Isolde Soundtrack

Rating: 4 out of 5

Media: File

Genre: Rock

Year: 2006

So I keep seeing those darn Tristan & Isolde commericals and I like Gavin Degraw anyways, so getting this song was imparitive (well not really, I just wanted it, even if it meant paying for it).

Seeing as how I’ve been listening to Gavin Degraw ever since I heard “I Don’t Wanna Be” as the theme song for One Tree Hill, I figure buying at least one of his songs will make up for all the one’s I’ve… borrowed. In any case, I was searching around Google and other places to download the track, until I just gave up and popped open iTunes and bought it for .99 cents (totally fuckin’ ripoff by the way).

It’s not the usually Gavin Degraw I suppose, but never the less it’s good times. It’s got that whole airy love song feel to it, but I’m a man about mine, I can listen to a love-ish sounding song and not have to go out and by a feather boa. Of course every one knows he’s got a pretty great voice (kind of compares to Jason Mraz a bit, without the high pitched whininess) and it really shines on this track.

Welp that’s my quick and butchered attempt at a quick review. Giggiddy giggiddy.

Fox’ night of comedy 11Sep05 | 0

So of course people from all over the country have been waiting for this day. New Simpsons, Family Guy, and American Dad (honorable mention goes to The War at Home). It was a night with high’s and unfortunate lows, hopefully FG and TS will get better as the season goes on. But anyways on the reviews.
