Other then the catchy headline, it’s mostly true. Microsoft has admitted that recently (last 19 month’s) produced 360’s are indeed defective.
Microsoft has admitted that every one of the 11.6 million Xbox 360 consoles sold in the past 19 months suffers from a design flaw that could cause the device to fail.
The firm will extend the warranty coverage from one to three years to compensate consumers, but does not plan to instate a recall or exchange programme.
Now lord knows, considering this is an Aussie site, here’s hopin’ that means for us Americans too. I’m assuming so, ’cause I doubt every Aussie has a 360 in their living rooms anyways. Especially considering Sony Australia touting the PS3 as more a Blu-Ray player then gaming system.
But the main thing here is… I’m covered! Woo Hoo! Hope it breaks when they come out with a cooler, less problem riddled version. Knowing my luck it’ll break year 3 and a day.
Every now and then, idiots breed and their offspring ends up smarter then them. This is one of those moments in time.
Even within her own home, reaction is split.
“My oldest son doesn't believe in God,†she said. “I guess he kind of thinks I'm stupid.â€
And so he should. Idiot.

And then he steals from it. Well it’s more like a homage I guess, but it’s cool for bloggers to shovel the shit at rappers/stars/lowly barista’s.
Anyhoo, in Kanye’s latest single/video he’s taken the the song “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger†by Daft Punk and made it his whole song basically, of course he’s flipped it a bit and all that, actually sounds pretty decent too I have to admit, much better then that shit sandwich that was “Better Then I’ve Ever Beenâ€. Now granted I didn’t really like his first CD at all, and I only listened to his second for “Crack Musicâ€, his 3rd effort might be interesting to at least listen to a few times. His first single “Can’t Tell Me Nothing†may have had a craptacular video, but it actually had some decent lyrics and a catchy background sample.
Back to this new single “Stronger†though, it might only be good ’cause I spent many a day flat on my back bored listening to Discovery before catching a glance at IRC or something. What’s of note though is that Kanye took a good chunk of the video’s scenery and ideas from Akira. Guess who Kanye is supposed to be. Personally though I would’ve had a replica made of Kaneda’s bike made, but that may just be me ’cause that thing would probably get me kicked in my teeth if I rode around on it. Video down below. So I kind of wanted to get back into the swing of posting at least a few times a week (hats off to bloggers who manage to write something every day, sometimes about important or cool things, or what their cat just spit out — to each his own), and I was working on getting back into and was ready to go in that direction.
And then the computer came into play (of course it could be argued that I came along to the computer and touched it, thus causing the problem). So as of this writing, though I’m able to post (obviously), I’m not able to do it in my preferred way. I usually boot into OS X and fire up NetNewsWire and ecto and off I go. Unfortunately for me I keep getting random kernel hangs and I’m not even sure why. I think a part of me as effectively given up on getting things working again, at least for now.
Anyhoo, can’t post neat asides really cause I don’t have access to my feeds that I frequent (can’t remember my password to Newsgator). So no posts for a bit.
Also if you know of any contests or quick/cheap ways to get a Macbook/Macbook Pro/iMac let me know. Kind of sick of the hackintosh route and I’d like to go genuine, plus Vista isn’t so bad when the computer can run it. On another note, for you OS X users, is there any other filesystems OS X can read/write that’s not FAT32 or HFS+ or HFS?
UPDATE: Welp that’s over with — for now. Back and running on OS X and hoping it doesn’t magically go poof again. For all you Vista haters too, it’s not so bad.

Everybody usually thinks technology has to get more and more complicated as we progress through the years. Computers have gotten multiple processors now on the cheap, every monitor/TV is equipped to handle high-def, and our gaming consoles are getting to be extremely realistic.
Sometimes though, a company or person has an idea so good it can't be denied no matter how low-tech it may seem. People search all over for easy solutions to their problems (little kids on leashes anyone?), now here's one for the folks stuck with no motorized suction brooms.
I'll take one, and gift it to a lady. :P

We all know how well the US courts work when it comes to the intertubes and technology... Here comes another showing of that greatness.

So this 54 year old woman, that's right 54 years old, decided to get drunk as a skunk and go for a casual drive. Smart right? Totally.
Jarrett blew the .47 on a portable breath tester after she collided with two other vehicles in quick succession, the patrol said. A check of all 356,000 breath tests administered since 1998 in Washington turned up only 35 above .40 - and none of those was higher than .45.
